Sasha's Summer Fun Pattern

This is such a sweet and easy pattern! Easy to sew and very nicely fitted. I made all of these outfits above (there are more samples to click on below!) by hand. By machine they would be even faster. This is a pattern though, that you can sit and make entirely by hand.. The pattern consists of:
1. Two-Tiered Sundress
2. Top with Ruffles
3. Capri's with Cuffs (waistband)
4. Gathered Leg and Waist Capri's (waistband)
5. Fake Fly Shorts for Gregor
6. Fitted Shorts for Sasha with Waistband and gathers or pleats
The little top is completely lined and is so easy to make. The straps are inverted in a v so they are put on with buttons. You can use ribbons to really make this a fast project.
The little sundress is just so sweet on Sasha. This is so easy to make and looks so nice. I also made a very lacy sundress just using two lengths of eyelet lace. You can use the eyelet already gathered for the ruffles of the sundress.
The shorts have a little fake fly, fitted waistband, with gathers or pleats as an option to the fitted ones on Gregor. The capri's snap or button in the back. One style is gathered at the waist before attaching the waistband and also at the ankles with a cuff. The other style has little cuffs and a fitted waist with waistband. I think the fitted waistband looks nicer on Sasha and is really just as easy as elastic!
I use Coats and Clarks Lingerie Thread on all my doll clothes. It comes in a small spool and I believe the top is pink. It is lighter than regular thread, but durable. I also use little tiny french seams. By machine, just use the serger or zig zag over your stitches. The french seams are always nice in the inner seam section though.
